If you have a facelifted BMW i3 manufactured after 2018 and want a factory large display system, there is only one solution for the upgrade. You also need to upgrade the iDrive unit under the rear seat because the “business” unit installed in newer cars that handles the small display no longer supports any larger i3 display, the hardware is not suitable for it. In older cars manufactured before 2018, it was enough to simply change the display to the wide version and recode the resolution. This is no longer possible here.
